Das Ledasperrwerk bei Leer dient dem
Hochwasserschutz des hinter dem Sperrwerk liegenden Einzugsbereichs der Flüsse
Leda und Jümme und deren Nebenflüsse. Zu hören ist Wasser, das bei Einsetzen der
Ebbe in Richtung Ems fließt und ein Taubenpaar, das offenbar in der
Sperrwerksanlage wohnt.
The water barrier near Leer serves the flood protection of the catchment
area of the rivers Leda and Jümme and their tributaries behind the barrier. You
hear the sound of water, flowing towards the river Ems at the beginning
ebb-tide, and a pair of pigeons, which obviously lives inside the flood
barrier.
